To prepare for your Ayurvedic cure...it is advisable to cut down on coffee, sugar and rich foods 3 days beforehand.
We have been offering Ayurvedic treatments since 2012 and have been practising and studying Ayurveda and Yoga since 2003, and what attracts us to this wisdom is its common sense.
Ayurveda enables us to maintain our physical and emotional balance without any extreme practice.
For example, diet: there is no diet where you have to eat everything raw or cooked or exclude cereals or other foods...
Ayurveda is just common sense, balance, no excess in food, physical exercise, work, rest....
To experience an Ayurvedic cure is to realise that our body, our person, is unique and precious and that we need to take care of it. To take care of ourselves is to take care of Life.
AYURVEDIC CONSTITUTION
Each individual has a unique constitution (at conception) which is based on the unique combination of the 5 elements (space, air, fire, water and earth) which will explain the physical differences, functioning etc. ... So if we use a metaphor, it is as if each person was born with an orchestra that is unique in terms of types of instruments. Some have more violins, others more piano, etc. .... There’s no one orchestra that’s better than another, but the musicians have to play in tune. The conductor is you, and the aim is that despite everything the orchestra goes through and with everything the musicians have in their suitcase, the music must always be just and harmonious. So to come back to Ayurveda and the Ayurvedic cure, the aim of cures and of all Ayurvedic techniques is to maintain or rediscover this harmony through massage, diet, yoga, lifestyle, physical exercise...
The yoga practised here is a complete yoga adapted to you. The sessions are not a series of postures performed to perfection by the teacher and which you try to reproduce. Rather, they are about feeling with awareness what happens when the arm rises....
The sessions consist of postures that are always adapted to what we can do, always ‘easy and comfortable’, but also breathing exercises (pranayama), guided meditation, explanations of the philosophy of yoga in our daily lives and also explanations of mechanical physiology.
